– the state has been struggling for almost ten years now which doesn’t have much of an effect on online gambling as it stands now. Pennsylvania’s Online Gaming Future

Online gambling has overcome many oppositions, in some ways casino owners have been the biggest enemy within the industry. This may seem odd since most would assume that online casinos and land based casinos would work together to gain more players however, this has not been the case in some places. In states like New Jersey, online gambling has struggled but if you take a step back and look at the bigger picture, it seems as though even land based casinos are struggling due to the apparent ghost town like atmosphere Atlantic City seems to posses these days. For some, online gambling would help Atlantic City in an effort to survive the recession and slow numbers. For others, online casinos could help drive the interest back into the gambling industry, therefore bringing players back to the land based casinos after playing online.

Pennsylvania has yet to jump on the online casinos bandwagon due to the fact that there is so much adversity within the state and it’s lawmakers. Like with other states such as Nevada and Delaware, it was a struggle to get online gaming legalized. In those cases, the state was able to actually profit from the regulation of online gaming. On the other hand, in New Jersey – the state has been struggling for almost ten years now which doesn’t have much of an effect on online gambling as it stands now. Currently, the state of Pennsylvania is seeing a decline in the numbers being put out for their land based casinos so they are considering whether or not the online casinos would make for a great move or not.

At first, the state of Pennsylvania was attracting players from neighboring states who were not offering legalized gambling, for now all neighboring states offer some form of gambling which causes a problem for the Pennsylvania land based casinos. As it stands now, the numbers look good as far as sports wagering, this is a form of gambling that is only offered in select states, players would be able to make bets on their favorite sports teams legitimately. This could be an industry that is worth $110 billion however, the Federal government has blocked most states from even attempting to legalize it.

For now, New Jersey still views the slow start to their online gaming market to be a product of the glitches that occurred in processing when the online casinos were first opened. While this may be true, it may not be a reasonable excuse forever. Currently, the USA online gaming market is alive and thriving for online casinos that are located throughout the world. For some reason, the online casinos that are based within the United States have not quite caught on as well as the states would have liked. All in All, players might see new casinos made available to them if they are residing in Pennsylvania.
