Aside from being two of very few states to take the steps to legalize and regulate online gaming to profit for their states, the two have paired up in a deal where players will have the ability to play from their own state at websites that are operated by the other. For example, Nevada players will be able to use the Delaware gaming sites where the state of Nevada will earn a percentage of the profits and Delaware would earn the remaining amount of profits.

The agreement was signed Tuesday by the Governors from each state, the agreement now allows poker players from each state to participate in a player pool that would be combined by both. This is the first of many steps to allow a fully online poker market that would reach across the United States. Some of the key points in this deal include; The fact that it authorizes online poker players only, players will be able to use the sites from whichever state they choose and the revenue will be distributed based on the location from where the player originally comes from. Even though the players are using state-run casinos in states other than their own, since they are playing from within their state they will need to still know and abide by those laws. The current structure that is in place will allow for more states to join in on this great program easily.

Each of the states who decide to join in this pool of online poker players will have the ability to pick and choose whatever gaming choices they would like to offer their players. For now, the major signing has taken place, what needs to happen next are the details which need to be worked out, such as which of their existing poker sites will be included in this program. Some of the poker websites are doing better than others due to the location, Nevada poker sites are pulling in more revenue than the Delaware sites. For now, the next big thing is getting the technology together and in place to open the doors with a smooth transition. In New Jersey it almost appeared as though they jumped the gun on offering their gaming because the interest was there however due to system difficulties many players strayed away from using the online casinos offered there all together.
